About the Exhibition :
Poetry and calligraphy have a profound and long history in art for both Western and Eastern world. However, as the world has been evolved to a new technological era, almost everything in our society becomes digitalized, simplified and symbolic. Therefore, the objective of this exhibition is to demonstrate the important value and beauty of calligraphy and poetry under a refine and refresh atmosphere. Not only would the audience bring home with the excitement of this innovative demonstration of poetry and calligraphy, but also the impact from acknowledging that evolvement within. The ultimate goal is to make the modern poetry and calligraphy sustainable in the long run.
Based upon the concept above, the two artists intentionally selected a historic building in an older district as the exhibition venue to create an environment where the audience would embrace the present by recalling the past at the same time. Moreover, local Macau artists can refer it as a great example to explore more venues for various types of art exhibitions in the future, enriching the developments of cultural and creative industry in Macau.
